Boarding
 

  

 

Arriving at Peters Creek Farm, you'll feel as if you're in a different world ~ rolling hills for as far as you can

see and more importantly, a peaceful, serene setting.  You and your horse are given our undivided attention

as we welcome you to our home.  

 

 

Our boarding, lesson and training facility includes the following amenities:

 

  • Main barn includes three 12' x 12' stalls
  • Shedrow stable includes eight 10' x 10' stalls
  • Shedrow stable provides four 10' x 20' Foaling stalls
  • Field board includes daily clean water, trace minerals
  • Four large-acreage lush pastures - horse-safe fencing; additional pastures being appropriated

              for boarders

  • Pasture rotation every two/three weeks to maintain healthy growth
  • Strict worming schedule
  • Farm Manager and Farrier, Thomas Murray, lives on premises

 

 

  • Outdoor wash rack
  • Blanket rack, collapsible saddle rack, equipment box at each stall
  • Outdoor viewing/judge's box with table, chairs, microwave, fan; restroom in main barn
  • Quality Hay: Trails End Farm of Colbert, Ga (Present Hay-In-Use Test Result) kept in loft &

              separate hay barn

  • Arena A:  65' x 190' square with a sand-based 4' high fence, lighting & mirrors
  • Arena B:  70' x 200' dressage / jumping area
  • Spalding Fly Predators in use during fly season
  • Trailer parking (check availability)
  • Sundowner 8' tall head-to-head trailer on site for hauling (if personnel available) & emergencies

 

 

  • Various areas on property to expose your horse to obstacles, such as bridges, water, etc.
  • Most pasture is electrified wood board fencing
  • Miles (8+) of marked trails with varying degree of difficulty (White, Yellow, Orange, Red)
  • Events held on property throughout year, e.g., Fun Driving & Riding Society, American Competitive Trail Horse Association Competitions, Horse Club Outings, Educational Seminars.

 

 

 

  • Roads on property conducive for driving a carriage or cart (flat or elevated)
  • Very close proximity to Hard Labor Creek State Park
  • Future Construction:  Controlled environment round pen, 8' tall 60' radius circle
  • Veterinarians - On Call: New South Equine Medicine Drs. J. Ross Kittrell & Rhonda P. Veit

 Pasture Board Options
 
A.  Pasture Board:  No grain, just hay, clean water, accessible mineral block and pasture shed or 
thickly shaded areas                                                                                                           $150/Month
 
B.  Pasture Board:  Two grain feedings, hay, clean water, accessible mineral block and pasture shed 
or thickly shaded areas                                                                                                       $175/Month
  
Full Board
 
Daily mucking, clean buckets, two grain feedings (morning & evening), hay, two buckets water and
mineral block in stall; daily turnout (summer months - turnout in evening)                            $425/Month
